Pete is a doctoral student at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Professional Psychology, pursuing his PsyD in Clinical Psychology. He brings a grounded, seasoned perspective to his clinical work, shaped in part by his prior career in the U.S. Army, an experience that deepened his appreciation for the healing of community and his understanding of the pressures people face in their everyday lives.

Pete supports adults, couples, and individuals across the lifespan through a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties. He is especially drawn to working with those who have navigated demanding, high-pressure roles and the unique emotional toll those demands can leave behind. He brings both personal familiarity and deep respect to that work.

At the heart of Pete’s approach is his belief that the struggles people face are fundamentally relational and rooted in our longings to be understood, seen, and experienced authentically. He views the therapeutic relationship itself as the most powerful vehicle for change, prioritizing trust, genuine understanding, and meeting each client where they are in their process. Pete draws from an integrative framework, grounding his work in relational psychodynamics, attachment theory, and existential approaches, while also incorporating various skills-based methods.

Pete has experience providing comprehensive psychological assessment and believes assessment should feel therapeutic too. He takes a collaborative approach in assessment, and aims to discover meaningful insight together with his clients. His clinical training has spanned a partial hospitalization program serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as a community mental health setting where he worked closely with military servicemembers, veterans, and their families.

Peter works under the direct supervision of Dr. Bridget Kromrey, Psy.D.
