Kaitlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) who works with children, teens, adults, parents, couples, and families. Her clinical focus includes trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, health conditions, grief, identity development, minority stress, and women’s mental health. She also supports clients navigating relational challenges, caregiver stress, and challenging family dynamics.
Kaitlyn holds a master’s degree from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where she specialized in Global Mental Health and Trauma. Her clinical experience includes work in local settings such as the Family Support Clinic and the Trauma and Disaster Recovery Clinic, as well as international work supporting children in foster care systems and communities impacted by disaster.
Kaitlyn takes a culturally informed, trauma-responsive, and relational approach to therapy. She centers safety, trust, and the therapeutic relationship while working collaboratively with clients to explore their connection to themselves, others, and the world around them. Her style integrates psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives with cognitive and behavioral strategies, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), always personalizing care to fit each client’s unique needs.
As a woman of color, Kaitlyn is deeply committed to working with diverse populations across the lifespan. She values authenticity in the therapy room and brings empathy, humor, and compassion into her work. Above all, she honors the sacredness of the therapeutic space and the courage it takes to enter it."
