Graciela is a Ph.D. student in School Psychology at the University of Denver, holding a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University. She brings school-based experience in education and mental health, including experience as an early childhood teacher and as a practitioner-in-training with adolescents in diverse community settings. Her work is grounded in a strong cross-cultural perspective, shaped by her experiences supporting clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

Graciela has a particular passion for working with children of all ages and their families, providing support across a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), giftedness, cultural identity, and gender related concerns. She is trained in administering cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments and provides evidence-based interventions to support behavioral, emotional, and academic growth.

Graciela integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches into her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, interpersonal approaches, and utilizing a multicultural lens in her work. She places high value on building strong, trusting relationships with clients, believing  the therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful change.

In both intervention and assessment, Graciela takes a strengths-based approach. She is committed to promoting healthy coping strategies and resilience by drawing on the strengths of the individual, their family, and their community. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, culturally responsive care and to offer clear, actionable recommendations that help translate insights into positive, real work outcomes.
