Katie has specialization in learning, attention, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges associated with neurodevelopmental disabilities or twice-expectational presentations. As a trainee clinician with supervision, she has worked in schools and clinical settings to diagnose specific learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental language disorder (DLD), autism, and anxiety in early childhood, school-aged children, and middle school-aged teens. Her therapeutic experience includes treatment for stress, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, school problems, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, sensory processing differences, behavior challenges, and relationship problems.

Katie provides psychotherapy for individuals and families and assessment services for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her work is grounded in cultural humility, equitable practices, resilience, and the social model of disability. Katie’s approach is relational, strengths-based, and collaborative. Her methodology integrates evidence-based practices from developmental, humanistic, attachment, and family systems theories. She brings warmth, acceptance, empathy, compassion, connection, and integrity to her work. She believes that belongingness and quality relationships are fundamental for positive life outcomes.
