Dr. Colleen Corcoran is a fully licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Corcoran provides psychotherapy and assessment services for individuals across the lifespan, with special interest in early childhood and the role transitions associated with early adulthood. She has expertise in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, providing both assessment and therapy services. She also has experience with issues related to gender and sexuality, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Viewing her role in her clients’ lives as a privilege, Dr. Corcoran approaches her work with warmth, candor, and a genuine belief in individuals’ propensity for growth.

Dr. Corcoran earned her doctorate degree in School Psychology from the University of Arizona with a minor in neuropsychology. Dr. Corcoran completed her predoctoral internship at Saint John’s Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica, where she focused on early childhood parent/child dyadic work and social/emotional assessment, as well as general outpatient therapy services. Dr. Corcoran’s research and authorship has centered on bullying and supporting the LGBTQ community. 

Previous to completing her doctoral degree, Dr. Corcoran completed her Educational Specialists degree in School Psychology at Northern Arizona University and practiced for several years as a school psychologist. In her role as a school psychologist, Dr. Corcoran specialized in educational consultation and comprehensive developmental assessment. With her knowledge of psychoeducational evaluation and special education law, Dr. Corcoran also enjoys partnering with families to navigate establishing and maintaining appropriate school-based services. 

Dr. Corcoran also provides consultative services for schools and childcare centers. Areas of focus include: program evaluation, functional behavioral assessments for individual children, and addressing challenging behaviors through positive classroom management.
